About Founder
Jamie Gragg is the founder of Brachy Breeze, a brand born from a lifelong passion for brachycephalic breeds and a deep commitment to their wellbeing. With a love for pugs that began at just 14 years old, Jamie has spent years immersed in the rescue community—designing graphics for events, supporting adoption efforts, and fostering and transporting dogs in need.
For over a decade, Jamie has also operated a dedicated in-home “Pug BnB,” providing specialized care for flat-faced breeds. This hands-on experience revealed a critical gap in the pet industry: the lack of safe, effective cooling solutions for dogs vulnerable to heat.
A natural entrepreneur, Jamie has successfully built multiple businesses from the ground up, but Brachy Breeze represents something more personal—a mission-driven venture rooted in purpose. The brand was created to protect and improve the lives of brachycephalic dogs, especially in extreme temperatures, while giving back to the community that inspired it. A portion of proceeds supports flat-faced breed rescues, reinforcing a commitment that extends beyond the product itself.

Education about brachycephalic
breeds and heat risk
Brachycephalic breeds, such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, and Shih Tzus, are characterized by their flat faces and short airways. While these dogs are adorable, their unique physical features make them highly susceptible to heat exhaustion and breathing difficulties, especially in hot weather. Unlike other dogs, brachycephalic breeds have a harder time regulating their body temperature, putting them at a greater risk of overheating.
This is why it’s crucial to provide them with a cooling solution, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable during warmer days. The Brachy Breeze crate offers a much-needed solution by providing controlled cooling, helping these dogs maintain a safe temperature wherever they go.
